Deviled Eggs

DEVILED EGGS
Like most of my other recipes, this is one I've altered to the tastes of my family. And thus, it has no precise measurements of anything. It's one of those "until it looks/tastes right". That's how I roll.

Shopping list: Eggs, Mustard (either regular or dijon) cheese, ranch, salt, and pepper.

Hard boil your eggs, and peel them. I'd tell you the best way to hard boil them, but I haven't figured that out yet. I just boil them until I hope they're done. Or until I remember they're still in the pot because I left to go do something else and forgot entirely about them.

Slice them in half, the long way, and save that yolk in a separate bowl. If you're lucky, you have this handy-dandy egg platter that you got for 75% off at JoAnn's when they were clearing out their spring items. It's great!

Mash up all your yolks and mix it some ranch, mustard, salt, and pepper. Taste it to make sure you like the taste, and decide it if needs more kick. I usually put in a little more mustard.

Then, this is what makes my different. I add my food love: Cheese. Just grate a little pile in there and mix it all up. It's good, I promise!

and I'm not about appearance when I fill the eggs. It's about getting as much in there as I can! Because there's cheese in these, it's a little thick to use a icing bag and pipe a fancy pile into the eggs. I just use a spoon and fill them up.

And of course, you have the paprika sprinkled on top. Make sure you hide some of these for yourself. My dear sweet Captain Jax took almost all of them to work with him for lunch!!

DEVILED EGGS
  • Eggs
  • Mustard (regular or dijon)
  • Ranch dressing
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Grated cheese

Hard boil your eggs. Half them the long way and save the yolks. When they're all halved, mash up the yolks and add mustard and ranch until desired consistency or flavor is reached. Add some salt and pepper. Add a small about (about 1/2 cup) grated cheese. Mix all together and spoon yolk mixture into eggs. sprinkle with paprika and enjoy.

  1. yum yum! Love some deviled eggs. I've never tried them with cheese in them though. What's not to love about that?!
