Laundry Soap

Laundry Soap

This isn't food. I realize this. But it is a recipe, and it's a cheapskate recipe, therefore it has to be posted. And actually, I've really enjoyed using it. The cost for all these ingredients was about equal to the cost of 1 box of standard laundry detergent AND they're safe to use on K-girl's cloth diapers. Other detergents have additives that cause build up and repelling issues. NOT something you want to have with diapers!!

Here's what you're going to need:
  • borax
  • washing soda
  • oxy-clean
put a cup of each into a jar and shake it up REAL good (you could use a mixing bowl. . .I guess. . .) use about 2-3 tablespoons per load and wash as you normally would.

  1. I have been wanting to try this for years but the washing soda isn't readily available around here. I like your formula with the Oxi-Clean, though I've never seen that either. Laundry detergent is getting so darned expensive!
