Saturday's Party-10-16-10

(still time to enter the giveaway for chocolate!  See post HERE Giveaway is now closed)

Wow, I'm late.  But I've had this going on. My sister got MARRIED TODAY!!  so I was WAY busy.  And out of town.  In the mountains.  Freezing cold.  With no internet OR phone service.

But it was a beautiful wedding, and as stressful as it was getting all our crap in and out of places, it was wonderful spending time with my family.

Here's a taste of what was shared last week.

Chaya, over at My Sweet And Savory, shared this recipe for Dulce de Leche cookies.  Oh my goodness, they look so great!

Thanks to everyone for linking up and helping spread the word about Saturday's Party over here!

Here's what I have to bring to the party today. Fruit dip.  We made this for my sister's wedding this weekend, and I just ate it with a spoon.  It's amazingly tasty.  And I probably gained 10 pounds too.  But it was totally worth it.

Posted at:
  • 1 8oz pkg cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 cup heath toffee bits, or a crushed Skor candy bar
Mix together, chill, and serve with a variety of fruit.  Apples and grapes are great.  Oranges probably wouldn't be so great.

  1. I am with you on that fruit dip, I probably gained that much too from it! Alas, I have nothing to bring to the party because of the wedding. Maybe next week!

  2. Krystal, I just linked up and when I came back here, the linky was not displaying. I have been having trouble with some other blogs and their linkys.

I think it is me, not you. Anyway, I might have linked my Rocky Road Brownies on mY Sweet and Savory and even if I did not, I will display your badge on that post.

Sorry, I can't link up for Comfy Cook.

  3. I am back, ever so quickly, and this time, the linky is back. I am, posted for both blogs and I think your badge is on the blogs, themselves, besides the posts.

  4. Thanks for hosting - I love food memes! Krystal, it is nice to "meet" you. I'm your newest follower (tell your sis congrats by the way!). I host a Friday Potluck and I'd love if you wanted to join in sometime!
